Shopify Flow integration: Overview

OMNI is integrated with Shopify Flow with a range of Flow triggers and Flow actions that can be utilized to build Shopify Flow automations.

Pre-requisites

  • The Shopify Flow app should be installed on your store first

  • The Shopify Flow integration need to be enabled for your store in program settings

You can the integration for Shopify Flow within the OMNI admin interface at Program settings > Integrations. You can enable the toggle for Flow triggers and Flow actions individually - based on what features of the Shopify Flow integration you need.

For new customers installing the OMNI app, both Shopify Flow integration options will be turned off by default.

Enabling the integration

Shopify Flow triggers

Our Shopify Flow trigges supports a number of event triggers and event types when specific actions have been performed by customers related to the loyalty program , allowing you to update a customer's loyalty information to an external platform and/or build automated workflows or communications using Shopify Flow and it's connected platforms.

The current list of supported trigger includes

  • Member activated - Sent when a customer has a profile created on your Shopify store

  • Member account registered - Sent when a customer completes the account registration process on your store

  • Points added - Sent when loyalty points are added to a customer profile

  • Points subtracted - Sent when loyalty points are subtracted from a customer profile

  • Points expring - Sent when points earned from previous transactions or activities are expiring within a defined period of time (default 30 days)

  • Points expired - Sent when points earned from previous transactions or activities has expired

  • Tiers updated - Sent when a customer's tier information has been updated

  • Reward issued - Sent when a reward is issued to a customer

  • Birth month captured - Sent when a customer with an existing Shopify account before collecting birthday data with OMNI has inputted their birthday month

Shopify Flow actions

We support the following Shopify Flow actions currently, allowing merchants to perform loyalty actions based on their defined automation.

  • Add points - Add a defined number of points to a customer identified by their email address. Learn more

  • Grant reward - Issue a grantable reward to a customer identified by their email address. Learn more

Note - Grantable rewards are rewards that are setup to be issued by the merchant and not redeemed by the customer with points. Learn more
