Klaviyo integration: Installation guide

Before you begin

You should make sure that you have met the following requirements before you activate the integration between OMNI Loyalty and Klaviyo

  • You have an Klaviyo account created that is connected to your current Shopify store

  • You are subscribed to the Grow plan ($195 USD/month) or above on OMNI Loyalty OR you have access to the Klaviyo integration feature

Installation guide

You can activate the installation using two methods, please select the method that is more convenient to you

  • Enabling from OMNI Loyalty

  • Enabling from Klaviyo

Enabling from OMNI Loyalty

  1. Log in to your Shopify store and access the OMNI Loyalty app from the Shopify admin

  2. Select Integrations from the app navigation on the side

  3. Find the integration card for Klaviyo, and click enable
    ​

  4. Confirm the Shopify store URL you are integrating with Klaviyo and click Activate
    ​

  5. You will be prompted to log in to Klaviyo and select the Klaviyo account you want to integrate OMNI Loyalty with
    ​

  6. Review the access information required and click Allow
    ​

  7. Your integration should be completed and you will see the integration active

Enabling from Klaviyo

  1. Log in to your Klaviyo account if you have not done so already.

  2. Select the Integrations tab.

  3. Click Explore apps, search for OMNI Loyalty, and select the card.

  4. On the next page, click Install.

  5. Follow the instructions to log in to your Shopify account if you haven't

  6. Confirm the Shopify store URL you are integrating with Klaviyo and click Activate
    ​

  7. You will be prompted to log in to Klaviyo and select the Klaviyo account you want to integrate OMNI Loyalty with
    ​

  8. Review the access information required and click Allow
    ​

  9. Your integration should be completed and you will see the integration active

Once your integration is enabled

Your integration will now begin to function

Upon successfully setting up the integration, the integration will begin to function and send in loyalty events to Klaviyo as they occur and sync loyalty properties into your Klaviyo profiles whenever an update is made.

One-time sync will be triggered

Additionally, OMNI Loyalty will also automatically trigger the following one-time operations to help you get started:

Create dummy customer and send test metrics

A dummy customer will be created on Klaviyo and the system will send in a batch of test Klaviyo metrics (events) into the dummy custmer. This will let Klaviyo register the app metrics and allow you to configure Klaviyo flows or segments with it.

Sync loyalty data of your existing customers to Klaviyo

This will only be triggered if OMNI Loyalty is already launched on your Shopify store. If it isn't, the loyalty data sync will occur when you launch OMNI Loyalty on your Shopify store

The loyalty information (such as customer's points, tiers, tier expiry date, and more...) of your existing customers in Shopify will be synced into Klaviyo, allowing you to get an up to date display of your customer's loyalty information directly in Klaviyo.
