Member benefits

OMNI offers a wide selection of member benefits that you can set up as ongoing perks for your loyal customers from the Member benefits admin.

OMNI currently supports the following member benefit options:

  • Welcome perks

  • Points program

  • BIrthday benefits

  • Social media bonuses

  • VIP Tier entry rewards

  • VIP Tier auto discounts

  • Bonus for completing profile

Welcome perks

When a customer completes the welcome rule for your store, customers can get rewarded with the following perks.

  • Welcome points - Reward customers a specified amount of points

  • Welcome reward - Reward customers with a specified auto reward

A customer can only get their welcome perk once.

The welcome rule depends on whether your store uses Shopify's customer accounts or legacy accounts.

  • For customer accounts - when a customer profile is created within Shopify (e.g., when a new customer logs-in for the first time)

  • For legacy accounts - when a customer completes the registration form and has a legacy account

  • For legacy accounts - when a customer completes the registration form and has a legacy account

Points program

You can set your own earning ratio for your store - or for individual tiers if you have more than one tier, so that customers can earn points for every purchase on your store.

Birthday benefits

You can offeer the following benefits to members on their birthday month. If you have more than one VIP tier, a different setting can be set for each VIP tier.

The following benefits are issued once during the customer's birthday month:

  • Birthday points - Automatically reward customers a fixed number of points on the first day of their birthday month

  • Birthday reward - Automatically reward customers an auto reward on the first day of their birthday month

When birthday reward and points are issued

  • For existing customers - the birthday reward and points are offered on the 1st day of their birthday month

  • For new customers that sign up during their birthday month - the birthday reward and points are offered on the following day during the month after they have signed up

The following benefits are applied for the whole of the customer's birthday month

  • Birthday auto discount - Automatically applies a percentage off discount to a specified collection or the wholed order during their birthday month. Customers do not need enter any discount code and the discount is automatically applied once the customer and cart has met the required conditions.

Notes on conflicting auto discounts

When the birthday auto discount conflics with other auto discount or discount codes, the better discount would be applied automatically by Shopify.

  • Birthday 2x/3x points campaign - Allow customers to earn points at a special points earning ratio during their birthday month

Notes on conflicting 2x/3x points campaigns

When a standard 2x/3x points campaign is active at the same time for the customer, the birthday campaign's earning ratio will be applied instead.

Note on enabling birthday rewards/points during existing customer's birthday month

Existing members who already provided their birth month and has their birth month in the current month will not receive birthday rewards or points this year and will only be eligible for it the followin year. (i.e., If you enable the said birthday benefits in June 2024, existing customers who already provided their birth months and who happens to have their birth month in June will not receive these birthday benefits in 2024).

However these members will immediately be eligible for the birthday benefits applied for the whole of their birthday month (i.e., Auto discount and 2x/3x points campaign)

Social media bonus

Requires your store to use Shopify's "customer accounts"

You can set up social media bonuses to prompt customers to visit your defined social media channel links when they log in to their account in the reward hub within customer accounts.

You can define a set amount of points to reward customers and the defined amount of points is issued to the customer once they click on the link from the interace on our rewards hub. We will not be able to track whether the customer has actually followed, liked or have any engagement with your page.

VIP Tier entry rewards

Requires a subscription to the Grow plan or above on OMNI Loyalty and only available if your store has set up multiple VIP tiers

You can set up rewards to automatically issue to the customer on their first entry - via upgrading to a new standard VIP tier from spending OR entering a new custom tier. The following benefits can be set up:

  • Tier entry bonus - Reward customers a specified amount of points

  • Tier entry reward - Reward customers with a specified auto reward

VIP Tier auto discounts

Requires a subscription to the Grow plan or above on OMNI Loyalty and only available if your store has set up multiple VIP tiers

You can also set up an always-on discount that automatically applies a percentage off discount to a specified collection or the whole order to members who are in specific tiers year round.

Customers do not need enter any discount code and the discount is automatically applied once the customer and cart has met the required conditions.

Notes on conflicting auto discounts

When the VIP Tier auto discount conflics with other auto discount or discount codes, the better discount would be applied automatically by Shopify.

Bonus for completing profile

Requires your store to use Shopify's "customer accounts"

You can set up bonuses to prompt customers to provide crucial customer profile information for the following:

  • Birthday month

  • Phone number (with OTP options) - For Advanced plan only.

Customers can complete their profile on the Rewards Hub on customer accounts. Only customers who have not provided the relevant information will be eligible to earn this bonus.
