Offering rewards is one of the best ways you can incentivize your customers to spend their points earned with purchases. OMNI allows merchants to set up their own rewards in the admin dashboard to offer to customers.
Accessing the rewards dashboard
Click on "Rewards" on the app side navigation
OR Click on "Manage rewards" on the OMNI admin home page
Create rewards
Choosing the reward method and type
Click "Create reward" on the rewards screen to create a number of supported reward methods and mechanisms types on OMNI.
Select from one of the two reward methods currrently supported
Redeemable reward - Rewards that customers can use points to redeem
Grantable rewards - Rewards that merchants can grant to customers
Choose a reward type supported for the selected reward method
Free product
Order discount
Product discount
Pay with point
Other discounts (contact us)
External rewards (contact us)
QR code vouchers (coming soon)
Setting up the reward details
Once you have chosen the reward method and type, you will be prompted to configure the details of the reward.
Common fields for creating rewards
The following fields will be configurable for all reward types selected:
Reward name: the name of the reward shown to the customer, additional language options will surface if the language is enabled within OMNI
Image: the thumbnail shown for the reward on the customer interface, you can select one of the following and the relevant preview image will be displayed:
Use default image: will take the product image associated with the product variant
Use custom image: allows you define a custom image that is uploaded to the Shopify by entering the image URL.
You can get the Shopify image URLs via Shopify's admin - Content > Files, then clicking on the link icon beside the image file
Points needed for redemption: the amount of points needed to redeem this reward.
Enter only positive whole numbers
Start time
Now: The reward will be active once it is created
Schedule a time: The reward will be active at the scheduled time
Expiration time: defines how/ when the redeemed rewards would expire, select one of:
Expires X days after being redeemed or granted: Issued rewrds will expire after a rolling X days, where X configurable on a reward level
Expires at a defined time: Issued rewards will all expire on the same date and time regardless of when it's issued. The reward will also be hidden from the interface once the expiry period has come to avoid redemption post the expiry period.
Does not expire: Issued rewards will not expire
Terms and conditions (optional): Allows you to set specific terms and conditions text for the reward, additional language options will surface if the language is enabled within OMNI.
Reward type specific fields for creating rewards
Below are reward type specific fields you can configure based on the reward type you select:
Free product rewards
Self service available | Redeemable & Grantable
Free product rewards allow you to offer a product variant on your store to be redeemed with loyalty points.
In addition to the common fields for setting up rewards, you will be able to set up the following fields:
Product variant: select a specific product variant within your Shopify catalog.
If a product has multiple variants - you will need to select a variant
If a product only has 1 variant - the default variant will be selected
Quantity of products per reward: you can define the number of products to be redeemed in one redemption.
e.g., Setting this to 2 will allow the customer to redeem 2 of the product variant with a single reward redemption
There are also a few details that are not configurable on a reward level, but will be listed out in the details tab on the right you should pay attention to
Only apply discount once per order: All product rewards are set to "Yes" - to apply discount once per order to prevent customers from getting multiple free gifts using a single redeemed discount code
Combinations: This depends on your storewide setting of whether to allow discount combination for your rewards or not. When enabled*, product level discounts can be combined with other product level discounts or free shipping discounts**.

Order discount rewards
Self service available | Redeemable & Grantable
Order level discounts allow you to offer a fixed amount off or a percentage off to the full order.
In addition to the common fields for setting up rewards, you will be able to set up the following fields:
Value: define the amount or percentage off you would like to offer to the order.
Percentage: define a percentage between 1 - 99%
Fixed amount: define a dollar value above 0
Minimum purchase requirement (optional): you can define the amount the purchase value of the specified product or collection must meet in order to use this discount code. Enter a dollar value above 0 if you need to set a minimum pruchase amount.
There are also a few details that are not configurable on a reward level, but will be listed out in the details tab on the right you should pay attention to
Combinations: This depends on your storewide setting of whether to allow discount combination for your rewards or not. When enabled*, order level discounts can be combined with free shipping discounts**.

Product discount rewards
Self service available | Redeemable & Grantable
Product discounts allow you to offer a fixed amount off or a percentage off to a selected product or collection.
In addition to the common fields for setting up rewards, you will be able to set up the following fields:
Applies to:
Specific collection - All product variant in the 1 selected collection will apply
Specific product - All product variant of the 1 selected product will apply
Value: define the amount or percentage off you would like to offer to the order.
Percentage: define a percentage between 1 - 99%
Fixed amount: define a dollar value above 0
Minimum purchase requirement (optional): you can define the amount the purchase value of the specified product or collection must meet in order to use this discount code. Enter a dollar value above 0 if you need to set a minimum pruchase amount.
There are also a few details that are not configurable on a reward level, but will be listed out in the details tab on the right you should pay attention to

Pay with points (cashback)
Self service available | Redeemable
Pay with point reward allows customers to use their points to redeem for cash coupons in the form of discount codes based on the specified redemption ratio set by the merchant. There may only be 1 active pay with point reward rule active/scheduled at the same time.
You may modify the following fields when setting it up:
Points to dollar ratio: define the smallest unit for the amount of points that customers need to use to redeem a set amount of dollar.
The amount of point set here will be the mininum increment of points a customer need to use. E.g., If I set 50 points to 10 dollars, then customers must use at least 50 points to redeem a $10 cash coupons or use any multiple of that: 100 points to redeem $20, 150 points to redeem $30, so on so forth.
Only positive numbers is allowed.
Minimum purchase requirement (optional): define the amount the order value must meet in order to use this discount code. Enter a dollar value above 0 if you need to set a minimum pruchase amount.
Minimum redemption requirement (optional): define the mininum amount of dollars a customer must redeem with points.
This works in conjunction with the mininum increment defined in the points to dollar ratio. E.g., If my points to dollar ratio is 50 points to 10 dollars and my mininum redmeption requirement is $50 dollars. Then I must use at least 250 points to redeem $50 dollars.
Only positive numbers smaller or equal to the maximum redemption requirement is allowed
Minimum redemption requirement (optional): define the maximum amount of dollars a customer must redeem with points.
Only positive numbers larger or equal to the mininum redemption requirement is allowed

Edit rewards
For rewards that are already setup on your store, you may edit it via one of the following ways from the rewards dashboard
Turn On / Off the reward - redeemed rewards are still active but customer can no longer redeem new discount codes for this reward.
βFor more, read this article.Deactivate the reward - redeemed rewards are made invalid and customers can also no longer redeem new discount codes for this reward. This cannot be reversed.
