After a reward is redeemed with points, customers are able use it before expiry. However, Merchant may want to deactivate the entire reward permentantly or deactivate a unsused customer discount code to prevent customers from using it.

๐Ÿ’ก This is for admin only, customers cannot deactivate any unused rewards themselves

Deactivate the entire reward

How to deactivate the entire reward

  1. Navigate to the OMNI app > Loyalty settings

  2. Scroll down and find the Rewards section

  3. Click on the type of the reward you would like to edit

  4. Click "Edit" on the individual reward you would like to deactivate

  5. Click "Disable Reward"

  6. Confirm your action and click "Yes, disable rewards and deactivate codes"

    1. ๐Ÿ’กIf you want to refund points for all deactivated discount codes from this action, tick "Refund points for all deactivated codes"

What happens when I deactivate the entire reward

  • Customers will no longer be able to redeem the reward using points

  • Customers who has redeemed this reward previously and have not yet used it will not be able to use their code

  • The deactivated reward cannot be reactivated

  • Points used to redeem the reward can be refunded to the customer (Only if you tick "Refund points for all deactivated codes" )

How to deactivate an unused customer reward

  1. Navigate to the OMNI app > Search Customers

  2. Search and find the customer with the code you would like to deactivate

  3. Within the customer profile, click View Discounts

  4. Within an unused customer reward you want to deactivate, click Deactivate

  5. Select one of the following

    • Deactivate only - If you want to deactivate the code without refunding points

    • Deactivate and return points - If you want to return the points to the customer in addition to deactivating the code

What happens when I deactivate an unused customer reward

  • The specific code will not be able to be used

  • The deactivated code cannot be reactivated

  • Points used to redeem the reward can be refunded to the customer (Only if you selected "Deactivate and return points" )

How to turn an entire reward on/off

  1. Navigate to the OMNI app > Loyalty settings

  2. Scroll down and find the Rewards section

  3. Click on the type of the reward you would like to edit

  4. Flip the toggle on the individual reward you would like to turn on/off

What happens when I turn an entire reward on/off

  • The reward is shown / hidden from the redeem rewards customer interface

  • Previously redeemed codes can still be used
